BOY AND GIRL ARRESTED FOR THEFT AND DRIVING OFFENCES

On 16/05/2026 at around 02:20 we were called to Coton Lane near the junction of Fontenaye Road following a road traffic collision between a Mercedes and a lamppost. 

Officers attended located a 17-year-old male and a 16-year-old female with the vehicle.

The boy & girl, both from Tamworth, were arrested for taking a vehicle without the owner's consent, driving otherwise in accordance with a licence and driving without insurance. The boy was further arrested for possession of cannabis and driving a vehicle whilst unfit through drugs.

They have since been released under investigation.
